Congrats to Elizabeth Echt on establishing the first new VisionsForConfidence Chapter in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, to expand V4C’s social impacts to a broader scope! Read Elizabeth’s story and her journey with her WY chapter.
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Echt. I moved from Dallas, TX to Jackson Hole, WY in Jan 2022, and changed schools from The Hockaday School to Mountain Academy of Teton Science School. During my first months in Jackson in the Spring, I participated in various fine art classes, ensembles and activities that I had planned to continue with throughout high school. At Teton Science School, I set up an after school elective Fine Arts class to teach Elementary and Middle School students who were interested in learning vocals, music theory and/or general musicianship. This coming school year, I plan to grow this program, to include music students from all over Teton County. I am also a first violinist in the Jackson Hole Youth Orchestra, which is a wonderful experience that I am excited to continue with. I play percussion including Timpani, Xylophone and Snare Drum in the Community Band, and continue to perform in my school’s rock ensembles. I plan to bring V4C’s Fine Arts social impacts to Jackson Hole, WY, providing an opportunity for children and students to experience the arts, and to instill confidence and achieve success through fine arts in my new communities in WY. I am so excited to see how the Wyoming Chapter of V4C evolves, and how it will help children connect with arts in so many different ways!
